True. I’m from Texas and lived in London for 9 years, so can relate to the differences in what people consider hot.
One difference is that most people don’t have A/C there, so when it’s 93 outside, it can be brutal inside.
Of course, Wimbledon is an outdoor event, so that doesn’t matter.
