So it's durian season again and this year the harvest is really good. So my brother and I bought some from a street vendor. An honest street vendor who opened each and every durian to let us check and smell. We have decided to get the small ones because they were only RM10 each. #fruits #durians

ELK Kopitiam at Bandar Puteri Puchong has one of the better Lum Mee that I have had in awhile. With just a bit of alkalinity from the thick yellow noodle to meddle, in a good way with the dark sauce, I was instantly brought back to my childhood having this by the side of the road. #noodles

There's been a lot of China restaurant chains spreading their wings to Malaysia. One of them is Tanyu. It is a restaurant with an iron plate slowly simmering a big piece of fish with a few options of broth available. since I don't do so well with spicy food, I chose the tomato soup base. #food

Now this was a splendid surprise from The Red Kettle. I have thoroughly enjoyed this plate of grilled pork with angel hair pasta that was prepared in a soupy manner. The soup was savoury and flavourful. More so with the charred edges of the pork giving it a smokey taste. #food #pasta

If you stay in Puchong and you like eating lamb meat, don't sleep on Gui Zhou Yang Rou Fen. Tucked at the quieter part of Puchong Wawasan area, this restaurant serves up some really good Guizhou specialties. Review at www.facebook.com/share/p/1ATf...

With so many places serving up the now ubiquitous Ipoh Shredded Chicken Hor Fun, there is really no need to travel far to just savour a decent bowl within the Puchong township. Here at ELK Kopitiam it's RM13.90 with chunks of smooth chicken instead of shredded chicken. #food #noodles

On our last night in Foshan, I decided we should go fancy a bit by having dinner at one of those restaurants in Lingnan Tiandi. It was a good choice at this restaurant called 母米粥, literally translated to mean Mother's Rice Porridge. More at www.facebook.com/share/p/19Ax...

It's been awhile since I last visited Restoran Memories Taste at Puchong Jaya. So I went back today and I'm glad the Ipoh shredded chicken hor fun is still good. The soup still has that umami depth with a delicately balanced sweetness. More at www.facebook.com/share/p/1BfN...

This dim sum place was only one station away from where my hotel was so we decided to check it out. It's in its 5th generation and every item is made to order. The quality of the dim sum is definitely there. www.facebook.com/share/p/1ADK... #food #dimsum

23rd March, Shenzhen. I was fighting for the best parts of this Yinyang chicken and then I got distracted by the steamed fish. The fish was definitely my number one fave in this lunch. The choy sum in clear soup was good too as the vege was crunchy but zero fibrous, making it a joy to chew through.

One of the most intriguing book store designs is this spiralling book rack in this book store at Happy Harbour, Shenzhen. It is one punch card location that many younger tourists include into their itinerary.

21st March - A recap of my trip to HK and the southern part of China. Here in HK, I had a meat only dinner with my cousin in Chef Ding's restaurant at The Peak. That Ding Ye, a veteran TVB actor who is now more well known for his cooking than his acting. #food #hongkong

Two days ago I paid my auntie a visit in Ipoh and I had a late lunch here a restaurant that served Hakka Mee that was accompanied by a bowl of yong tau fu. There was also the Cantonese Style Yee Mee. The sauce was thick, gooey and flavourful. #food #noodles

I have always wanted to pay bröom Artisan a visit at Taman Paramount. I finally got a chance to do so just two weeks ago. I really like its cendol latte. With a selection of both Asian and Western food on its menu, I had a hard time choosing. But here they are. #food #cafe

I went mad for noodles at Restoran Wan Shoon last weekend with the best Mee Jawa to be found here. Others include Assam Laksa, Curry Noodle, CKT with duck egg and the very smooth soy sauce chicken. There's also the refreshingly tasty jicama and carrot salad. #food #noodles

So 103 Coffee has expanded to IOI Rio and I went and tried it. It was a hit and miss but somewhere in between is this piece of rum n raisins cake. Its alcoholic content gets an approval but at the same, it was also sinfully sweet. #cake #food #dessert

A well known street food from HK is now available at Mid Valley, run by an owner from HK. I did like this superior bowl that incorporates all the standard ingredients that you can find in a bowl of HK cart noodle or also known as dirty noodle. #food #noodles

So I bought a Gudetama (lazy egg) tumbler at 30% discount from Typo and I could not wait to try it out with a Korean brand peach flavoured zero sugar drink. With lots of ice. #tumbler #gudetama
