Absolutely, my thoughts are who is to blame after Mandy left, is it EH or the PIF hierarchy, I think it’s the latter but recent games have left me wondering.. squad inefficiencies or coaching inefficiencies.. I still lean towards EH..for now

You missed out Osula

EH not at fault imo.. the season has been unrelenting since Nov..considering the changes needed due to Isak and injuries we’ll see how he refreshes the team March onwards

Prefect time to play the pivot.. they’ll naturally be defensive to hold on and the crowd will be behind us
February 7, 2026 at 6:43 PM
Fair dos.. give him the benefit of doubt due to a new team and expectations etc but Lordy he needs to get up to speed quickly
February 7, 2026 at 6:37 PM
Did he play as a central 9 for those goals, I can’t remember his exact role under Frank.. maybe their system was different and he was more wide coming in??
February 7, 2026 at 6:35 PM
Not for me, he’s making the wrong runs and choosing the wrong passes for a 9 … that’s not confidence that’s lack of ability at this level
February 7, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Even his passing is a liability, Murphy has got to be a better option
February 7, 2026 at 6:28 PM
Also not forgetting that the Ruebans have got all the connections in place to speed things along in the NE..
February 6, 2026 at 8:21 PM
Yep I accept that, but even with all the changes at the top of the hierarchy I still firmly believe if they wanted to, that project would be much more advanced than it is. Also even if it’s in a pre buying phase you would think there would be potential plans they could share ahead of sign off

Nice read, although using LCFC training ground as example, they made public of a site 2017, planning after objections 2018, building started 2019 and the site was completed 2020…I’d wager a lot that they weren’t in the planning stage for 4 years i.e from 2013 as they were still in the 2nd div.
February 6, 2026 at 7:22 PM
All of that is valid but PIF are far from blameless, I think the training ground non event is a major red flag as is the stalling of stadium clarification

So, it seems after buying us, the lovely Saudis are having a downturn in their fortunes.. I mean is anyone really surprised by this?? Shudda checked our history of luck before signing the cheque.

I saw PSG as more 5-4-1 whereas this seems more 5-3-2 .. splitting hairs possibly

And he’s allergic to running past jogging pace

Problem with a 442 you invariably lose 1 of the 2 forwards for defensive press
December 27, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Just counted up..not including Everton, we’ve had 19 shots on target in 8 away games and only 3 goals
December 26, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Any team that creates no decent chances from so much possession and 46 crosses needs to be changed ASAP.. EH at fault unfortunately..not including Everton, 3 goals from 8 away games… it ain’t working.
December 26, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Not easy to volley at pace when wide of the goal.. difficult I thought
December 20, 2025 at 2:32 PM
I’d be very surprised if the change in the approach to pressing was predetermined due to CL commitments, I’d hazard a guess at it being related to having a deep floating CF rather than one playing off the CBs and therefore pushing them back .. a small adjustment but with much wider ramifications
December 14, 2025 at 10:00 PM
Absolutely, the last couple of years we’ve had blips but they’ve been ironed out however this year feels different… way too many different issues sequentially occurring.. it’s like we’re playing wackamole… EH needs to figure out a long term fix, fast.
December 14, 2025 at 8:19 PM
Not including Everton, 7 away games, 3 goals, 1 goal every 210 minutes is baffling .. it’s not about individuals .. I’m a big EH fan but this is inexcusable
