Not just grandparents, late 70s one of my aunts died at 34 leaving behind a 3 year old and 16 month old, she developed encephalitis after catching chicken pox from them.

Just competing against each other to see who comes top of the wealth pile each year. Previous generations competed to put their names on schools or hospitals they funded, pity times changed.
