On this day (8/9) in 1945, the U.S. dropped a second atomic bomb partially built at Los Alamos on a Japanese city. Nagasaki was destroyed three days after Hiroshima. These two bombings remain the only uses of nuclear weapons in an armed conflict. Japan surrendered 8/15. #atomicbomb #nagasaki
