this is also an excuse to talk about the greatest sports team names of all time that no one talks about bc it was a womens team (iirc all black women but the info is limited and the research i did on this was like. 7 years ago when i was still in undergrad) the north philadelphia honey drippers.

but also nothing can compare to 2004. just stumbled on this old tumblr post and its still so tru lol. i was an "i hate sports i like BOOKS" kid and 04 so fundamentally shifted my feelings about sports and made me into the sports loving sicko i am today
