I've never thought alterhuman generally included furries was my thing. ik it's opt-in but generally I feel like alterhuman is used as an umbrella for various nonhuman identities but is more inclusive as you mentioned - just excluding those for whom their nh identity is fandom & furry

i like creaturekin for it, critter/creature are great in casual speech and i use them lots but they include cis critters so they don't always work for me. i do wanna reclaim kin as a suffix tho

this book won so many awards but i am just not that interested by Peters' writing. tried Stag Dance and it was really meh
