Pattern block play with octagons! #21CenturyPB #iTeachMath

We did this same problem at AMTNYS and the T3IC. All of the answers were great! I liked cutting part of the 9's out to make 3's!

A8:A trapezoid is a quadrilateral (a four-sided polygon) that has at least one pair of parallel sides.

So yes, it is a trapezoid! Just not a 'typical' one that'll we would see. This emphasizes the importance of vocabulary!
