The worst case was actually firefly. I could only use model 3 and I had problems (couldn't say BLACK SKIN bc it went against guidelines?!)
It had a complete ass freakout. I couldn't put some of the poisoned pieces in because it detected names/the poison? I stripped the metadata and it got worse

As my manager said yesterday, "So the artist is ... offloading their own work?" (basically)
I flat out said I was insulted as an artist
But for bigger IPs such as Paramount, this is good for *them*. They are a giant studio where their brand can be really slammed down = less designers on staff

another thing i took from MAX (I WONT SHUT UP ABT AI I KNOW) is fireflys custom model
The idea that you, the artist, put a minimum of 10 of your own pieces into the model so the AI can regenerate art work in your own style so you do less work!!!

I was looking for creativity,workflows, behind the scenes. I didn't get that at all. I had to fight to find creatives in person. Ppl I talked to weren't excited for AI or seemed skeptical. One student hated how no one was talking about the resource consumption, an artist angry over the pricing plans

And the groups that pushed AI or suggested to follow trends... felt soulless. In some aspect they'd raise people up, talk about how valuable creativity was and how people were so important. Then a sentence later, they'd tear that statement down with "we used prompts to make hundreds of designs"

AI. The only place I didn't find it was the marketplace in the back. AI was pushed so hard it was nauseating. I actually wanted to puke after I watched a short AI film. This isn't all AI but the image generators and video creators put people in a box more than they realize

I tried to target a variety of panels. Some on AI (...) some on social media, programs I use and just generally creative ones. I found the best panels came from people who worked their way from the ground up, were humble and had something to honestly give back to creatives.

The partners were interesting. I was able to grab some stuff for my coworkers (accessibility booth!) and even spoke to one of the people from frame .io asking him several questions about the pitfalls I had with version 4 from 3. It was fun to see what companies were working on or pushing

The layout and set up of the entire con was pretty great. I've never been to a business event before (except e3 I guess) but having breakfast/snacks/lunch and dinner served on site was SO helpful
