I just post about my little hobbies.
Finally finished the long red & white + green loop border on this Christmas blanket. Ya know, other than sewing in approximately one billion edges.

I could have got 9/9 if I was bolder with John Turturro, I literally just watched all his Coens I should have had this one. (Once I flubbed it I got lazy with Viola).

990 loop stitches later (I had to do one row twice), I still don’t like the loop stitch. But at least I’ve gotten better at it! Before I wraps up this border with some more red and white stripes, I’m gonna bite the bullet and do the loops on the other side.

Don’t enjoy a loop stitch. Not excited to do multiple rows of 165!

I like this border pattern, too. It’s a moss stitch pattern with double (treble) stitches instead of single (double), alternating colors every other row. There will be more bits on this border I have to do next, but I l don’t think I’ll like those stitches as much 😅

Week 4 of the Sirdar Christmas crochet along complete! The actual work was really fun, but sewing all the edges of the toys was a slog while my kids crawled all over me and bickered over everything. At least they paused long enough to excitedly name everything I put on the train!

I really want to get my daughter kpop demon hunter dolls for the holidays, but they kind of don’t exist, which prompts the question… do I think I could crochet these in time?

Teddy bear tangle. So many edges to sew in! Hoping I can get through all of week 4 in my crochet along, hoping this is the worst of the toy designs so the rest goes smooth.

I want to do fun stuff but I need to weave in dozens of edges first and that’s fine. FINE.

I really like this pattern that the crochet along is having me use on the edges, I want to do an ugly Xmas sweater for me with the zig zag pattern up the entire arms

Robyn loves his cat Costco membership. I was googling these yesterday, and apparently Walmart sells them for like $40, which is way too much, but Costco has it for less than $20, which is definitely the right amount for a little silly fun.

Happy one year anniversary of bringing my cats home from the shelter. Enjoy the mushroom!

It’s the one year anniversary of welcoming home our new cats, so we got them a cat Costco. It is so silly I love it.

Distracting myself from At least another hour waiting for election results by working on my spiked double/treble (us/uk) boarder. I wonder if this is part of how they do that cute cat pattern? I should look into the cute cat pattern…

Learning how to do a “spiked treble crochet” (uk term), which I think looks really cool and I will definitely do again next time I make a random baby blanket

Week 3 of Sirdar Christmas crochet along done! Excited for all the bobs and bits about to be added to it to distract from how bad my crochet hand writing is 😅
November 3, 2025 at 3:39 AM
Okay! Got the base of this part of the blanket done. Once again not sure how to keep tension consistent throughout a project, but I’ll take it 😅🚂🎁

Wasn’t playing close enough attention and made a mistake / have to go back and undo the train track edging because I did it too early. It’s fine, coffee will be ready any moment now and that will solve all my problems?

Googling baseball things

Well now that I’m back to appreciating baseball (lololol) here are the “it’s okay to lose” Mariners cupcakes my daughter talked me into making, you know, for good sportsmanship or something. If they had made it to the World Series these would have been less of a mess I’m sure 😅

Halloween season is always so busy, taking a little break between costume events to sew in bits of the blanket I’m working on
