The Ghost of Cassiopeia nebula. Cassiopeia (the bright star) is an Ethiopian queen in Greek mythology. Her star illuminates nearby dust clouds, imparting a ghostly, ethereal appearance.

Also, it's worth noting that Andromeda is a huge galaxy -- 6 moons wide in the sky! So that, plus the long exposure time, and post processing using astro software, is why it looks so nice here.

The Andromeda Galaxy, courtesy my tiny smart telescope. This galaxy is *very* close, only 2.5 million light years away. If someone in Andromeda is looking back at us right now (and can resolve Earth) they're watching early humans!

Not according to our current understanding of black holes. That idea comes up every now and again, but no one has made a truly convincing explanation. Most likely the contrary rotations came from one galaxy absorbing another.

Remarkably, the central stars rotate one direction, while the stars in the hazy spirals go the opposite direction! Dark dust in the core gives the galaxy its name, the Black Eye Galaxy (magnitude 9).

I have one of these 2" smart telescopes - a Vaonis Vespera. But there's something of a telescope renaissance going on right now with a lot of options at a range of price points! I should note that I spend time processing my images afterwards to clean up noise, sharpen, etc.
