For #ShowMeYourKnits blue week, I present The Grad School Sweater. Begun at the start of my MSc, finished 1 week before (and worn to) my PhD defense. Yes, it took 7.5 years to knit... let's just say that life intervened a few times. 🧶 Pattern: Snowflake by tincanknits
A cropped dark blue sweater, with plain knit body and sleeves and a lace yoke patterned in diamonds and diagonal lines. It is spread out on a blanket knitted in zigzag stripes of gray, pink, coral, green, lavender, and blue.

Finally starting to look like something wearable. Not a single camera I own can handle the colors, though. (That "green" is teal, I swear.) 🧶

Didn't have a correctly-sized project bag for a sweater I just started, so I sewed one. Side quests are definitely part of why it takes me so long to finish projects.
A tote bag sits on a light gray bedspread with dark gray circles. The fabric print on the tote bag is little white cherry blossoms with light blue leaves on a navy blue background. Looking down from above on the open tote bag, the lining is bright yellow with lighter yellow polka dots. In the center of the bag is 6 balls of yarn, 2 purple, 2 teal, one hot pink and one white, with the start of a purple sweater on circular knitting needles. There is also a lime green notebook. There are 4 pockets, one of them has a bright pink pouch in it.

My brother got me an adorable Woobles crochet kit (Sebastian) for my birthday last year. Made it immediately but took a year to assemble it, which is... typical 😆

I've been chipping away at a new project: remaking a sentimental 50-year-old quilt. It's in rough shape, to put it mildly. This is after 4 rounds of hand-washing, picking it apart, & removing rotted batting. Next up: removing damage and patching squares.
A simple square patchwork quilt, top separated from backing. The top is laid flat to show many holes and missing squares. The backing fabric, a pink floral from the 1960s, is in a pile to the left.
