The National Honor Society students at my kids school are hosting a drive for quilts to put into their free school pantry. In what world do kids have to think about how to take care of their friends basic needs? Adults need to do better!

My kids couldn't eat supper at school tonight because the program that feeds kids in after school programs can't access funds from the government. I recognize the privilege my family has because I can feed them every meal. Many kids at their school aren't as lucky. Kids are going hungry tonight.

Have I felt like cutting things lately? Yep! Better to cut fabric instead of people... right? The start of a new scrappy project.

Looking for cool ideas of things to do near Omaha, Nebraska with a 16 year old girl when we travel there in a few months. Not big on crowded touristy things so I'd love some interesting local treasures.
