I was a stressed out IT exec in Raleigh, NC with a drunken, cheating ogre for a husband. I let it all go and moved out west to be a trail hiking, mountain biking, river paddling, off-roading, Tahoe-boating, volunteering childfree cat lady.

Nevada State Employees have United Healthcare and they are SO BAD that the whole local health system, Carson Tahoe Health, refuses to accept it, and even the big system in Reno, Renown, will only take state employee health plan in case of emergency. Those two systems are the only games in town here.

I'm actually not a refugee from X but from FaceBook. It's become insufferable over there, and Zuck is a monster just like Musk. I never liked the Twitter platform. Seems like it eggs on ADHD and short attention spans, sabotages any real human connection. Not sure Blue Sky will be any different.

Who remembers LiveJournal? That was so long ago I don't even think we called it social media. Those were the days when you could find people online with similar interests and become friends irl. There were real human connections back then. Is it possible to have that again or has Skynet already won?
