Had conversation with coworker today about the internal battle to stay informed without being overwhelmed and just wanting to disengage. If we could capture the kinetic energy of our founding fathers (and mothers!) spinning in their graves, we could power half the country.

What a lovely memory! For me, the mingled scents of a wood fire and apples with cinnamon transport me to my grandmother's kitchen where she fried turnovers made with apples dried in late summer.
