I remember learning in middle school SCOTUS judges got lifetime appointments as a means to remove political influence on them. Everything I’ve learned since shows the exact opposite. They’re completely immune from political activism.

Criticism of how Newsome has treated trans is valid. The “eliminating” part seems hyperbolic but I digress.
I’m not sure what how you’d define a centrist, I.e. Liz Cheney or Joe Biden, but IMO politicians striving for middle ground vs fighting for workers tend to be corporate shills. Just my $0.02.
