I really enjoyed reading "When Things go Missing" by Deborah J. Brasket - there are a few books about a woman in her middle years walking out of her life, not many where we concentrate on the fallout at home rather than whatever she's doing! librofulltime.wordpress.com/2025/09/27/b... @booksky 📚💙

A powerful read: I've called "The Spring Begins" by Katherine Dunning "brutal" here, and Simon Thomas calls it "amoral" in his Afterword! It's also lyrical, descriptive and a real page-turner! librofulltime.wordpress.com/2025/09/24/b... @britishlibrary.bsky.social #booksky #SpinsterSeptember 📚💙

I feel like Gracie Jenkins was the more realistic of the two, and had a bit more depth, though Your Pace addressed some really interesting questions around public perception and #MeToo in the musical theatre world.

It was a lovely read and a good accompaniment to the TV series.

Ooh lovely! I collect these, although really it would have to be a plate "made" of celery. It's a great thing to collect because there isn't too much of it so you don't get overrun (though I do have three asparagus plates).
