Ughhhh!!! This happened to me last time with Iron Flame. I love B&N but the launch day shipping lag is an issue. I ended up getting Iron Flame on Kindle just so I could read it the day it came out. Sadly, I will miss Amazon for this reason - that’s how I got Onyx Storm on Tuesday 😫

I totally understand! 😫 KU really does help indie authors though so keep it up. I did read that if you like a book on KU, you should try to purchase it if you plan to re-read as that supports the author more. Good luck out there ❤️✨

Best thing to do is use Libby as much as you can! Authors also tend to make more money that way too. I know that doesn’t always help with the hot, trendy books since the wait is so long. But, depending where you live, you can get multiple library cards and dip into inventory from various counties.

Take it with a grain of salt, I’m not sure how accurate it is tbh but like the OP said, Amazon is making their big bucks elsewhere, not on KU. Amazon has monopolized the book market so it’s hard to fully cut ties as a book worm 😫🥲 You can boycott Bezos in other ways that doesn’t take away your joy.

Another creator on here mentioned if you read 11+ books per month on KU, Amazon actually loses money. Not sure of the facts behind that but it did make me giggle 🤭 Stick it to the man???

It’s true! I have friends that preordered and still are waiting on it to be delivered. Tragic! I preordered from two places just in case (giving one to my sister though).
