I tell my kids there's bad in the world, so the world needs us to be good to keep the balance. We can't control the rest of the world, but we can do the best we can do for ourselves. Hopefully, that is seen by others and we can be the example others might need to do the same. ❤️

Unfortunately, there are policies at places that forbid this kind of thing. I think authoritarians truly took the phrase "no good deed unpunished" literally as their life's motto. I suppose when there's a monopoly on charity, it's easier to create the oppressions that need the charity.
