We are bereft: Steve Silberman has died. He was our dear friend, and a tireless and enthusiastic ally to our entire community. His book NeuroTribes enlightened, empowered, and educated millions about autism and autistic people.

I spoke with Steve on the phone a few years back. I will say that he was incredibly kind and extremely friendly, and the knowledge that he shared with me, and the book that he wrote, helped me understand myself significantly more.
