There's a pack of kiniing (a type of Cordilleran cured native pork) chilling in my fridge for months now.

Partly because I've been putting off cooking it for a long time, and partly because the last couple of months have been so hectic that I hardly have time to cook for myself something new.

There's a rather realistic looking donkey made to look like it's pulling a fruit cart that will greet you when you enter the supermarket in Marquee Mall.

I don't know why they decided to put a donkey (and only a donkey) there but someone definitely thought about giving an ass.

This is a native tree: at the foot of the Abacan Bridge in Angeles City is a blackboard tree (A. scholaris), named as such because its wood is traditionally used to create blackboards in some Asian countries (not sure if that includes the Philippines).

An African tulip tree (S. campanulata) grows under the Abacan Bridge in Angeles City. The tree blooms with beautiful flame-orange flowers. Unfortunately, it's also a terribly invasive species and damages local biodiversity.

Ano kaya yung binebenta nila for 1500 pesos?

One of the less enjoyable parts of working with gemstone beads is when you have to identify similar-looking stones under less-than-ideal lighting. So which container has the black obsidian and which has black onyx?

I found out about Sir Jeremy through a Facebook group. I DMed the OP where his e-trike is typically parked. Originally, I only planned to have five signs made, but ended up getting seven.

Been meaning to have custom signboards made for Amurru and Regular Oracle for some time now.

Signboard makers used to be more common — their works being a ubiquitous and iconic part of Filipino street life displayed on public transportation. These days, there aren't many of them left.

Huh. Akala ko Bounty Fresh (a supplier of chicken meat and eggs) is selling fruitcakes now. Ad pala for their eggs for use in baking. 🥲

Me: Elevated na ang blood pressure ko. Tumatanda na talaga. I should make some lifestyle changes.

Iniisip ko kung ano'ng app yung ginamit ko when I took this selfie kasi wala sa camera roll ko. Until a friend sent a message asking if I was sick did I find out that I accidentally posted it as an IG and FB story. So ayun.

So nung weekend, I made a quick detour sa Quiapo to buy some crafting items. Medyo uhaw na ako when I reached Villalobos Street and I saw a juice stand. Na-entice ako sa melon.

Because of the afternoon rains, a rainbow could be seen arching behind the People Power Monument.

A rather crude line drawing made using permanent markers on a piece of cardboard and pasted on a pillar next to a ricemonger's store in Angeles. The drawing seems to be of Zetsu, a villain from Naruto.

It was drizzling slightly earlier this afternoon. Here you can see a blanket of clouds covering the peaks of Mount Arayat, as seen from across Pampang Bridge.

Yesterday at PotA Clark Winter, an artist (@itataminn on IG) approached me at the Amurru booth and asked if she could do a live portrait. It's always cool to have yourself be drawn by fellow-artists and even cooler because she's a traveling artist from Iloilo! What an awesome gift! 💚

What a weird lighting choice.

How's the terrain in your area? If it's mostly flat, a second-hand Japanese city bike is a good way to learn

Despite spending 3 nights in Olongapo, I still wasn't able to do more exploring than I planned. Because, one, I was still working (lol) and, two, it occasionally rained. There's one restaurant I was able to go to: Mr Taste, a Pakistani restaurant in Subic.

That gasp I made when I saw the overturned pots behind my apartment! Strong winds over the weekend probably knocked them over and uprooting the newly potted plant cuttings.

May pa-"sui generis" pa sya pero anlabo nya magsulat ng Grindr bio. I hope he outgrows all of the things he's displaying here.

(Not gonna bother with an alt text for this image kasi I don't think I want to inflict him to visually impaired folks.)

Story time. When the front desk person showed me my hotel room, I blurted, "Oh, same room as last time!" I guess it's the default room they assign to Agoda promos.

This skinny orange cat with green eyes and a turquoise collar approached me while I was preparing my bike after I had my haircut. It proceeded to rub my leg, maybe hoping for a treat. Sorry, little guy, I didn't have some.

As a trend hyper-obsessed society, some of us probably deserve to be flooded, have our roofs blown off, or be hit by lightning. 🌩️
