I was talking to a non-minneapolitan friend about the Minneapolis mayoral race and I genuinely think that if Frey is replaced by someone who defeats him—not replaced by someone after choosing not to run again—that next mayor is going to be ripped to shreds no matter who it is.

REALLY finding this to be true in my home game - my crew is probably down for a multi-year epic campaign AND YET it's still important to be taking big swings on the good-enough pitch. waiting for the "right time" impoverishes the possibility-space. making moves sets up future moves!

not exactly the perspective you asked for, but I've now covered two extended leaves (6 and 8 weeks respectively) as a consultant and just want to report that everything was fine! I wasn't even covering most of the staff member's responsibilities - mostly that stuff just went on pause.
