A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday - Not one, not two, but three very sinister events! First, the escalator going up to the Main Speaking Floor came to a screeching halt. It stopped on a dime. It's amazing that Melania and I didn't fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only that we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster. This was absolutely sabotage, as noted by a day's earlier "post" in The London Times that said UN workers "joked about turning off an escalator." The people that did it should be arrested! Then, as I stood before a Television crowd of millions of people all over the World, and important Leaders in the Hall, my telepromoter didn't work. It was stone teleprompter didn't work. It was stone cold dark. I immediately thought to myself, "Wow, first the escalator event, and now a bad teleprompter. What kind of a place is this?" | then proceeded to make a Speech without a teleprompter, which kicked in about 15 minutes later. The good news is the Speech has gotten fantastic reviews. Maybe they appreciated the fact that very few people could have done what I did. And third, after making the Speech, I was told that the sound was completely off in the Auditorium where the Speech was made, that World Leaders, unless they used the interpreters' earpieces, couldn't hear a thing. The first person I saw at the conclusion of the Speech was Melania, who was sitting right up front. I said, "How did I do?" And she said, "I couldn't hear a word you said." This wasn't a coincidence, this was triple sabotage at the UN. They ought triple sabotage at the UN. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I'm sending a copy of this letter to the Secretary General, and I demand an immediate investigation. No wonder the United Nations hasn't been able to do the job that they were put in existence to do. All security tapes at the escalator should be saved, especially the emergency stop button. The Secret Service is involved. Turns Out Trump's Own Team Messed Up U.N. Escalator and Teleprompter A U.N. official said the UN understands that someone from the president's party who ran ahead of him inadvertently triggered the stop mechanism on the escalator. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the White House was operating the teleprompter for Trump. “Bad escalator" President Trump referred to during his address to the U.N. General Assembly. Dan Cluchey: There's no scenario — none — where WH staff isn't overseeing the prompter. Physical scrolling is typically handled by military personnel from the Comms Agency who train for years. A WH staffer *always* runs the show. As a former WH speechwriter, this is my only area of expertise.

Another mass-shooting in the US, two children aged eight and 10 were killed in the attack and at least 17 other victims (14 children and three adults) were injured. Predictably, it has seen the usual chase to find the motivations of a deranged mass-murderer, expecting to find clues within the incoherent scribbles on his weapon... a poetic example of a country failing to see the forrest for the trees. It doesn't matter what unhinged hatred or warped ideology captured the attention of this disturbed mind in the moments before his act of inhuman violence; it's the fact he had access to not one, but three high-powered firearms to extrapolate his murderous intent upon the innocent people around him. One of these firearms appears to have been an AR15 semi-automatic rifle, a weapon capable of firing 30 rounds in a matter of seconds. A weapon that is banned in Australia. As a former Federal Agent, let me assure you, we have the same mentally unstable, radicalised, and dangerous men in our society that the US does; we just take steps to mitigate the damage they can do. The "sovereign citizen" who murdered two police officers in Victoria two days ago was armed with a "home-made shotgun" and a rifle - both of which are only capable of firing single shots at a time. He killed the officers because he ambushed them, not because he had more firepower. One of the final Counter Terrorism investigations I worked on before leaving the AFP was the Australian terrorist who killed 51 people in a Christchurch Mosque using an AR15. There is a lot I am not allowed to disclose, but it is my ardent view that the only reason this attack did not occur in Australia was because of our gun laws. This Australian born and raised terrorist lived in New Zealand primarily because he was allowed to keep weapons like the AR15, while in Australia he could not. Immediately following his horrific crime, New Zealand changed the laws to prohibit semi-automatic weapons like the AR15. I recall two other terrorist attacks in Australia that I investigated that involved the use of firearms. The Lindt Cafe Siege gunman used a sawn-off shotgun to execute Tori Johnson, the 15yr old who murdered Curtis Cheng had a 1935 Smith and Wesson handgun. Both assailants were shot by Police before they could murder a second person (tragically, Katrina Dawson, was killed in cross fire as police stormed the Lindt Cafe). Speaking from my experience of the genuine terrorist attacks we foiled in Australia, I am adamant that our gun laws have saved 100s of lives from this type of violence alone. The Islamist extremists who sought to murder Australians could not get their hands on the weapons they needed to carry out their plans. Often, it was only because of the difficulties they had in accessing firearms that their plans became known to us, and afforded us the opportunity to intervene. We will never know how many families have been absolved from the tragedy of identifying their loved ones at a mass casualty event. I don't write this to influence the gun debate in the US, I understand how futile that is. But I hope it reminds all Australians just how sacred our gun laws are and how important it is that this remains a strong point of bipartisan agreement - these laws must only ever be changed to make them stronger.

Plans are under way to test 1200 children for sexually transmitted infections after a Victorian childcare worker was charged with 70 sex offences against eight children in his care, including child rape. Joshua Dale Brown, a 26-year-old Point Cook man who worked in 20 daycare centres in Melbourne’s suburbs and Geelong over the past eight years, is accused of abusing children aged between five months and two years at the Creative Garden Early Learning Centre in Point Cook between April 2022 and January 2023.

Don’t be a Type Zero.
Type Zero A person that does not have Diabetes - Symptoms of Type Zero include vastly stupid questioning of people with Diabetes, inability to distinguish between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and making wild assumptions on what people with Diabetes can and can't do, or eat. Severe Type Zeros will often encounter sudden pain in the jaw area. This is caused by getting punched in the mouth by an offended person with Diabetes.
