I always chalk that up to the fact that they implemented a mechanic that allows you to instantly kill enemies in P5. Mementos has less going on than Tartarus, so the solution to making it not a slog was to allow players to essentially not interact with it. Which, I don't really think is good design.

To be honest I'm not really the biggest fan of P5. I know I'm in the minority for this but I think that P5 has the weakest characters AND combat in the series. The addition of technicals only dumbs it down and everything is just needlessly broken.

That being said, I figure you'd enjoy SMT more.

I'll be honest I have the greed they talk about in the bible ingrained in my soul so I want a re-release of the P2 duology that isn't on the PSP more than anything.

That being said, I would really love to see SMT titles get more love. SMTVV did well so hope isn't lost!!

I am one of the few people that actually really enjoy the battle experience of the games and spent WAY more time in Tartarus than most folks do.

At the very least it isn't Mementos, I don't think I could do that again 😭

It's absolutely worth the time if you don't mind an average sized JRPG and getting emotionally invested in fictional characters!

Persona 3 is my favorite piece of media, not just as a video game. I have a lot of feelings about it.

My favorite thing about this aside from me having absolutely zero reason to dream up a reality like this, is that I never dream. Like I can recall a dream I've had MAYBE once every 2-3 months.

WHY THIS SPECIFICALLY????

After having completed the story, sidequests, and post game, I ran around catching specific types until I realized that I HAD to do the 1000 battle challenge. So I spent a few hours doing restaurant battles at Le Nah.

If you'd like it to be more engaging/rewarding, do ZA Royale fights.

I had like. Just under 500 around the time of beating the game. And that's with having done all the side quests and even after all the post game stuff I was just above 500.

I ended up grinding the Restaurant battles for my 1000. Not as rewarding as the Royale battles, but it was faster.

So the last ones I had were battles and catching a certain # of each type. Each type you have to catch 50 of. And the battle one maxes at 1000. And since the battle one is 2000 points, you HAVE to do it to get to level 50.

But if you do the battle one you can skip some catching objects I guess.
