Spoilers for Vessel for the Radiance, obviously, but here is a fun little snippet.
Snippet of text: Everything fell deadly quiet. Then, Hollow turned, slowly and deliberately. Their face was empty. Their eyes were a hot orange glow. Almost dreamily, their arm moved as they raised their nail and swung. Noon's instincts moved his body before his mind could. He snapped out his wings and threw himself to the side. The nail sliced the air, just missing his body and… A part of Noon’s forewing drifted down onto the stained floor. He watched it, distantly noticing how faded the colours were. He really should have gone so long without reapplying the dye… The pain was almost an afterthought.
