On a normal HHKB, the top plate is part of the actual case itself, so it's turbo lightweight and feels like a dream. The actual layout, YMMV. It took me 2 months to get over decades of TKL use, while my wife adapted in 30 minutes flat. Topre + PBT + general feel is very unique.
