Lifelong baseball player/fan here and I really enjoy stories about how sports connects people. Baseball was like that in my world growing up. They call baseball the National pastime. I was OBSESSED with baseball history. I’m trying to get that way with soccer!

I’m a recent soccer convert and one thing I wanted to do was learn more about soccer. Of all the books I’ve read there seems to a common theme of soccer being linked closely to liberty, freedom, equality. Except in Spain. 😉
The message becomes more prevalent the closer we get to present day though.
