Making pots in Michigan
A different look for the pots. From what I've been told wood firing changes from oxidation to reduction through out the firing process, countless times. That leaves a special character to the pots as well as the ash from the fire. Depending on the temps reached different glazes are a must.

I originally thought I would have to get a big tank. After talking to the person I got it from, she said it doesn't need one and can run off a larger portable tank. Which makes it much easier to get up and running.

Come to Michigan!

The air cycle is needed because of the oxygen is needed for combustion. The chimney because generally kiln exhaust is toxic. Propane is preferred because it burns hotter than natural gas.

The burners I have are configured to run propane and I’m going to attempt that first. I want to get the kiln to back of the barn. Then set up a chimney, a fan that pulls air out of the area that kiln is outdoors, similarly a fan that pulls fresh air into the barn.
