As a former bureaucrat, here’s some advice if you find yourself in this situation. Always ask that the request be put in an email/writing.
If they refuse, then put the request, as you understand it, in an email to them. Assuming they don’t dispute it, then it’s on the record.

Or worse, a long time growing trend is that when elected you believe you are are given liberty to do whatever you want, instead of being a consensus builder and working for all voters.
Trump is epitome of that but it happens everywhere.

It’s only one game, but as a natural cynic, have to say I liked him from his first touch. If that continues he will be a great addition. And he provides even more flexibility for MLS.
