Mine too - the same 21% through the small business I manage. Our insurance guy said he "hopes next year we get back to normal" which he identified as 5-8% increase. Wages don't come close to keeping up. Raises are eaten by healthcare costs. We are all losing.

I will never understand how we got to this point in the US. Laughingstock of the world while also being enemy number one to democracy as a whole.

Isn't it wild to look back 20 years ago and recognize real journalism still existing in the MSM sphere even though we had issues? Most of my peers in 2025 don't even get their news from MSM anymore because it's so watered down it isn't even news anymore. Trump is the cause of a lot of it.

He asked Bondi to open a new investigation. She can just say the files are part of an "open investigation" and refuse to release them.

Recall processes need to be updated - a mandate of the constituents should be able to remove anyone given cause.

That's why basically ALL of the incumbent Dems need to be primaried. They're all owned by PACs or owe loyalty to someone other than the people who put them in office. Time to rectify that.

When I read outside my home, I am (often unfortunately) entirely unaware of the world around me. People think too much of themselves if they believe a reader is existing for their perusal rather than inside the pages of the book.

If reading is what draws the attention, that book also becomes a focal point. This means the reader must be able to explain what it's about and have some opinions on it. Can reading it be truly performative if the reader is still consuming new ideas and being changed by them? Big fan of all reading.

I think the biggest issue with that being how things have played out in the past is that the population voting democrat in 2025 is NOT the same as in 1990. Look at Mamdani's demographics. Millenials and Gen Z are fine turning feral. I'm happy to feed that energy and join, too! Primary them all!

This was exactly how Schumer and his rubber-stamping squad of fence-riding "democrats" intended. What everyone else needs to know is that cleaning house is the only way to get rid of rats. They all need to go. We need politicians who actually vote the way their constituents want them to.

I had a similar conversation when a coworker commented on the USPS losing millions of dollars each year. I looked at him and said “it’s a service, not a business. The fire department doesn’t make money, either, should it e privatize that too?”
