-what exactly NEEDS to be "polished" so that we understand why it would've come out a shitshow otherwise. (and why you wouldn't just patch it if it did. are patches frowned upon in the gaming industry now?) give us a short but clear explanation or a long complicated list, it doesn't matter!

-in particular, to me at least, is a slap in the face to everyone who pre-ordered the game. why are you charging money for the game BEFORE you're finished making sure it doesn't launch a cyberpunk-esque disaster???
devs, stop telling us you're delaying your games so you can "polish" them. tell us-

-bad happened from it!!! why do developers big and small keep using the same "we need more time to polish the game to meet your expectations of quality" excuse like disclosing what exactly needs to be polished is going to make them look bad??? it's so fucking annoying.

-off people from buying the game. when date everything announced its delay they made it explicitly clear why they had to do it: they somehow didn't have time to bug test every aspect of the game, and if they released it on the initial release date there would've been a boatload of them. and nothing-

-way when i don't see what exactly is wrong with the game in it's current state that it requires more time. at least tell us what would've happened if the game released on the date you promised us. be more transparent and honest with us. it's not like it'll ruin your company's repuatation or turn-

what stopped rockstar from doing the same for gta 6? i want to know WHAT needs to be fixed to warrant the longer wait. i want to know whether or not the game would've launched with a shit ton of bugs if it stuck with the original date. i want to be understanding but it's hard for me to feel that-

-to come out on march, they didn't delay it a single time and the game launched perfectly. if ea of all people allowed hazelight to wait until the game is "polished" and of the "level of quality players deserve day one" then what stopped io from doing the same for their self-published 007 title?

is polishing another word for bug squashing? if that's the case than why do these studios keep announcing release dates before they finish bug testing? it's not like it's impossible to not do that- when hazelight announced split fiction last year they said from the very start that it was going-
