Agreed. One of the first things I did after watching was look up who inspired certain characters and I was surprised to see them described as “absurdist” and not meant to reflect anyone in the real world. Perhaps that’s more a commentary on how absurd our world has gotten in a short period of time.

I also watched this one recently and had complex feelings about it. I’m glad there were themes relevant to the current political landscape but I feel that it ultimately felt… performative?
