We're bringing now too late Advent calendars in luggage because it's taking 28+ days for mail to go from Bremen to CA (but only 6 days CA-Bremen) & my attempt back in Oct got denied by US customs. :-(

This reminds me of Nancy Reagan's White House eggnog recipe, which involved massive amounts of hard liquor which then needed at least 24 hours to mellow before becoming really drinkable. I made it a couple of times and it was hardcore. I don't think I could manage it nowadays though.

1. The president does not have the power to set prices. 2. A tariff is a tax, which can only be levied by Congress; these tariffs are illegal. 3. Prices are not coming down.

Prices are not coming down. Retailers & importers need to recoup several months of lost revenue due to the tariffs & the market has adjusted. If you've been willing to pay 19% more for coffee since the summer, you will still pay the inflated cost in the winter.

The AfD is really more a pro-Russia/Putin party & this sucking up to MAGA damages it in the eyes of its eastern German constituents, who are suspicious of the US, despite its authoritarian turn. Note: Rep. Luna is a huge Putin troll, so that's the connection.

For a long time I thought the "Epstein Files" was just liberal conspiracy theorizing, but Johnson's behavior is so weird and otherwise inexplicable that I am starting to believe that there is actually something in there and it is BAD. Otherwise, Johnson's actions make no sense.

You're lucky. I'm trying to get a 50€ refund for 2 items that could not be delivered by Deutsche Post to CA & probably didn't even make it to the US (mailed 2+ weeks ago). German mail to the US is airmailed out of Frankfurt.
