6) Along the border of the United States and Mexico, far from the bustle of the city but only a couple hours from civilization, a kingdom was nestled under a blanket of magic.

5) cont The sun was pouring through her open balcony door, the need for an overhead light eliminated. She should have been dressed before the sun rose, had breakfast and be in her office by now but her stomach was in knots.

5) Janelle got an email that required her full attention. There was going to be a major announcement come today. Janelle stood in her chambers, her hands shaking as she searched for the appropriate attire.

4) The most important email of her career, possibly, waited for her when she awoke this warm fall morning.

3) The fall day wasn't supposed to be anything out of the ordinary but Janelle read the sender information and she knew her whole life was about to change.

2) After two hundred and eighty-one years, an announcement would soon come that the magical kingdom of the Treasures would receive a new Empress, Queen, and Princess but for Janelle, the before mentioned new Queen, it would mean the death of her grandmother.

1) cont From: Her highness the Empress. To: the royal Princess. Subject: Attention. Marked high importance. Body: Your attendance is demanded at the Emperess' chambers at nine hundred hours sharp. All that told Janelle something very specific: her grandmother was going to die.

1) The sunlight sparkled against the marble floor, the feeling of icy tingles and clawing tremors violently warring for her top sensation. It was an email but Janelle knew it would change her life forever. It was simple, brief, to the point. It didn't need to be any longer.

I want to link my TikTok page, my Instagram, Blue sky and just let my art out into the world. People write songs, paint pictures, draw and never expect any money or fame. I like to paint images in people's minds with words. I hope someone will enjoy this and maybe even want to read more.

It sat as a first draft for almost four years but I've decided I'm going to do something I love to do and I don't care if I make money or not.

I came up with this idea of writing short stories about my characters and posting it on Facebook.

I've been writing stories since I was a little girl. I've narrated my own adventures since I was big enough to walk. I've tried to write my own story since I graduated high school but didn't finish my first book until February 2021.
