The annoying thing is that I think I’m gradually getting better at this.. whilst each ship I complete makes me even more convinced that I never want to have to do another set of rigging ever again! #BlackSeas

Only the really really fun bits of this build left to do now 🤥😫😖😱 #blackseas #rigginghell

I've been accidentally collecting a 15mm Numidian army for many years now, with the most recent addition being these Imitation Legionaries from Forged in Battle: madaxemandotcom.blogspot.com/2025/10/numi...

"Would you prefer your Scythed Chariot to be a little less noticable Sir?

No thanks. It's a bit rubbish in practice, but it does still really scare the sh-t out of my enemies - so I absolutely don't want them to fail to spot it on the battlefield.. "

Really not sure if I want to sign up to this event at #BristolZoo. Either Facebook formatting on iPhone has done it a real disservice, or it is offering up an entertaining evening of pointing at turds in the pan “with Andy”…

I've been systematically rebasing all of my Renaissance figures over the past couple of years to play them under ADLG-Renaissance rules, and this Scottish Contingent represents the end of that process, with all of my Renaissance armies now re-done. madaxemandotcom.blogspot.com/2025/09/reba...

Almost the last of the Txcallan Nutters … just touching up these guys and adding basing texture and tufts to them - and 3 Generals to paint up and base - and the army (all 48 bases of it…) will be done !

15mm Tlaxcallan Suit Wearers - bonkers mental as anything, and that’s purely on a sartorial level, never mind the broken-glass-edged weapons and forearm-extending throwing sticks !

4 x 28mm old-school text-based battle reports featuring the Assyrians in action in the West Country (of England..) now available on the website at www.madaxeman.com/reports/Atta...

The Texcallans are properly underway now !

Working on paint schemes for the Tlaxcallans - not there yet, but juggling with Random Mesoerican Madness set against “yeah but.. my opponent does really need to be able to tell the different troop types apart …”

Looking to blitz through the rest of these Lurkio Almughavars this weekend - seems like the 72 I ordered are actually 74 .. which is exactly 11 bases of 6 warriors plus 4 bases of 2 LF .. which fits perfectly with the #adlg list !

And, in a new international development, there are now AI-powered translations of all 6 games into the native languages of my 6 opponents.

Which, for Game 6, means a translation into .... Australian! www.madaxeman.com/reports/The_...

(Honestly... even I think this is nuts!)
