Been a while since I did a General MIDI transcription, but just finished one using an experimental tracker/DAW-ish thing I've been working on! (more on that in the future)

like Sappy, it's goal was to mapping instruments to General MIDI notes. unlike Sappy it worked thru emulating and not by reading drivers' sequence data. so translating APU/DSP writes/state in real time. bc of this i could do things like assign CC macros to instruments, eg DKC -> lowpass filter

looking at videos from 14 years ago i recorded of an SPC player i made that output to MIDI. here's one of the Chrono Trigger theme being output to a hardware SC-55 (pardon the MIDI latency and the ancient phone recording lol. i also swap to the SPC emulation output partway thru)
