Idk if it's true, but when I was a budget analyst working with the Ohio Dept of Ag, they said you could never touch the appropriation for meat inspection, bc last time they tried that, a bunch of meat inspectors chucked rotting dead cows onto the statehouse lawn. Just a fun little story for ya.
