It's funny how despite the tech getting "better" the fundamental limitations of it have never changed and they're wasting billions of dollars trying to brute force their way past those limits.

Really all the whole early AI stuff like AI Dungeon and the early image generators feel extremely insidious in retrospect, literally designed for unwitting people to serve as guinea pigs to train the models, presented as novelty toys that wouldn't amount to much so people thought it was safe to use.

I can't really blame the dev cause it's like using a stock photo as part of your game and then finding out later the guy in the photo was the next Hitler. I guess it just serves as a cautionary tale to always be super skeptical of new technology.

Yeah it's an odd thing cause like you can't say it wasn't for lack of effort as the game clearly has a lot of work put into the art elsewhere, and the choice to use them in the game would of been before the "AI Push" as we know it began, back when it just seemed like a novelty.
