I tried to Google search the image for the original artist's name, to give credit, but couldn't find it in a sea of reposts. If anyone knows, please let me know and I will repost with credit.

As someone who lives abroad from her extended family, I have long appreciated the sentiment of the song, "I'll be home for Christmas". But it really is a planner's nightmare. "You can count on me ... If only in my dreams" - do I need to set a place for you or not?!

Watching Home Alone with my kids. First time watching it in years. Holy heck is Kevin treated unfairly at the beginning. Yes, he's a brat, but the older siblings are really terrible to him. And his uncle calls him a jerk!

Christmas at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. Took the day off, pulled the kids from classes and spent a magical day with family.
A classical "chair-o-plane" swing ride, brightly painted, is lit up in the foreground with a multitude of tiny lights. We put the tree up, and the cats moved in right away. (The tree is tied to the wall, and decorated with non breakable ornaments).

Tired of shitty people being hateful to others who believe all humans deserve basic respect and dignity. Here's my sweet kitty-girl, Busan, who believes all humans should give her some more kibble, please, as she can currently see the bottom of the dish.
Grey and with tabby with a little orangey tan mixed in sits neatly, front and center, white paws together. Her white chest has a shield shaped patch of tabby. She looks above the camera, in judgement.

One of our cats is only ever affectionate in the bathroom. Try to pet her elsewhere in the house, and she'll let you know she is *not* ok with that. But in the bathroom? It's all "rub my belly" and "you need to pet me more!"

Mushroom season
An old log lies lengthwise from the bottom to the top of the photo. It is covered in short, shaggy green moss, a few brown fallen beech leaves, and a cluster of small, round, ball-like mushrooms. They are light-tan in colour, and have a small, raised circle at the top, similar to a blueberry.

We are renovating our 1850s Swedish farmhouse. We took the attic rooms right back to the shell of the house, and discovered our modern roof (put in place by previous owners) is just set over these old cedar shingles. Not as cool as a Viking sword, but still a fun find.

His head and front paws lie on one chair, body across the second, hind feet falling off the end. There is plenty of space on the first chair that if he moved up a bit, his whole body would be on chairs, but no.
