Even if the next game doesn't nail the conclusion, Trails always manages to deliver great character arcs and that is unlikely to change. Risette still remains as my favorite character this arc.

Van's route struggled a little but its carried mostly by his team members. Van has some good scenes but he has not grown on me in the way other Trails protagonists have. I definitely don't hate/dislike him but he doesn't match how the world's characters describe him if that makes sense.

It absolutely obliterates the pacing in every game they include it. Despite how down I've been about this game so far I did truly enjoy it. Rean and Kevins routes were a blast and the ending was so exhilarating. My full thoughts cant be processed fully until the next given what happens.

-and minor characters are interesting and the world is so well-realized but with the Grim Garten and its ilk its just so worthless. I dont care if the game ends up shorter or takes longer to make I would just really prefer these things be removed. Its a lazy way to get the full cast together too.

I would have enjoyed the game a lot more if I didnt have to keep going back to the fucking dungeon crawler dimension or whatever. I loathe these sections. I enjoy the combat but the dungeon design is just so poor and lifeless. Normally when Trails gets padding its acceptable because the side quests-
