I have never needed in practice my degree for any job I've had. Every single job I've had or applied to required a bachelor's or masters. You simply won't make it to an interview now without a paper degree of some type. It's stupid but a HS diploma won't get you hired in HR or anywhere else now.

Because you don't need a reason to fire an at will employee, it's almost impossible to prove you're fired "for the wrong reason." Because their reason can be "we don't have a reason" and the odious task of proving they did have a bad motivation is on the one fired. it's functionally not a protection

Federal workers: please stay strong and don't quit. Drag it out. Keep getting paid, earning pension, and PTO - which they're legally required to pay you out of. Slow down work. Take many breaks. Lose paperwork. Annoy those traitors who are working with Trump and Elon.

Unfortunately we need them to stay and do things against the administration, like a slow down where all work is done at a quarter speed or make lost paperwork happen very often. Mass resignation only helps the Trump coup

You can fire "at will" employees for any reason or no reason at all. Federal employees on probation are at-will employees and ones who completed probation are not - which is why they're being coerced into quitting. Probationary workers can be fired.
