I'm sad to say that fans in Boston did not react today the way they did after Habs fans loudly booed the anthem at the start of the Iraq War, which was to sing the Canadian anthem as loud and proud as is it were our own. I was hoping we'd remember :(

I want to clarify that I'm not saying this is not a significant thing. But as a lifelong Bruins fan, I have definitely heard the US anthem booed in Montreal before now.

This is in Montreal though, there's a decent amount of precedence for booing the US Anthem there.

Honestly though Canada did this years ago and they're doing just fine. My only issue is he's not doing it with a coherent plan.

The thing that would make sense though is to phase them out slowly with a plan, not to just announce we're not making more one day

Fox mixed the sound differently. They also zoomed in on only the dancers in red white and blue. I didn't know about all the ones in black until today

I don't know how many people watched the pre show content as well, but really the whole thing was unapologetically black. Other than Gaga anyway. It was great.

So... i understood that big things were happening and I wished I was in on it, but honestly, I could not understand a word he said. I'm trying to find the whole show with proper subtitles. The pieces I've found are excellent.
