Hi y’all! If we haven’t met yet, my name is Madeline 👋🏻 I’m a U.S.-based writer covering F1 for The Athletic.

Out of curiosity: How long have you been following F1 and what got you into it?

It’s been nearly 4,000 days since a woman participated in a Formula One practice session.

But with no woman in F1 for over a decade, the F1 Academy series is building a pipeline to finally deliver female drivers back to the top.
