Retired from clinical research years ago, became a visual artist in the last few years…I spend time with my husband in both central Mexico & Albuquerque, love to travel, deplore MAGA situation, hope to see patriarchy replaced with a partnership paradigm.
This is the Nadir Divanbegi Khanaka in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Built in the 1600’s, it was a shelter for dervishes. On the day I sketched it our pre-election world was still full of the hope we would have a female president of color in the US. So this sketch holds a type of nostalgia for me.

My slightly wonky sketch of part of the Pahlavan-Mahmud Mausoleum in Khiva, Uzbekistan…I traveled in Uzbekistan last month on a textile and cultural tour. Kept a sketchbook going as well as I could during very eventful days. Now I’m finishing it at home. It helps soothe my post-election blues.

what if your ideas are as in love with you as you are with them?

what if your creativity spends its days dreaming about you too?

what if art is a co-creation between you (the vessel) & the eternal source of all things?

what if this act of making is the universe experiencing itself through you?
