I think after the cold steel arc rean only appears in some games as playable side protagonist and these days its all about a different group and falcom remaking the sky arc

like falcom games in general are mostly held up by their characters and worldbuilding, ys has the rotating cast with slight tweaks in the combat system and the trails series has a long running chronicle of a continents history
