I’m sure he has been “searching the depths of legal arguments”. That said, this is surely a pretty clear message that he’ll use ICE at polling places to demand papers, and they’ll just arrest anyone who doesn’t have them. (Or anyone who looks like they’ll vote Dem.)

The truly appalling thing is that the Trump admin will characterise this as another example of the courts being biased against them. And not, as should be obvious, that they are doing their job in the face of rampant lawlessness.

Curious if you have views about the use of exclamation points in judgments. On the one hand, it seems anathema to judicial restraint. On the other, if ever there was a time for exclamation, this would seem to be it.
