It is still important to fight for public infrastructures that don't create surveillance that makes criminalized people more vulnerable. Dignity and autonomy shouldn't be a paid service, or only available to those lucky enough not to be scapegoated.

Hmm.. what incentives are there for tech companies to pay their executives to go work at the federal govt for 1-2 years??? Private tech is clearly expecting huge regulatory and infrastructure kickbacks from this 'trade'
