I had an original mat idea years ago when I first saw these. When I learned I was getting two prints is when I knew I'd split the colors as a unique highlight on each while keeping everything else identical. After I couldn't make mats work, I turned to fillets. Super happy with how this turned out!

Thanks! I plan to hang these this weekend. They're just so fun to look at, and are now some of my favorite pieces!

10 months, dozens of hardware
/hobby store visits, becoming a somewhat expert on framing, paints/color matching limitations, framers coming on then off the project... I have to say the end results was worth it all! Again, thank you for your generosity! I hope you feel I did well with your art!

Brilliant idea from him, not only because they work on both, but those match the enemies in the game!...

He was willing to work with my ideas, shot some down but offered better alternatives after explaining why. Leaned on him and his artistic expertise- he came up with the black and white mats after I said I want colors that are identical and work with both prints...

Looked into fabrics or fabric mats, no go. Joined online framing forums. Learned of fillets. Had a hard time finding a framer who would work with them. Even had one quit on me in this process. Had the colors, had the idea to implement, needed a framer who was a enthusiastic as me. Finally found one.

Then I tried to get paint colors to match, but wasn't sure what I'd do with them as you can't paint paper but still tried. Found the green right away. The pink took months- exhausted all color options in my area. Pivoted to hobby stores, finally found the pink...

So the short version of my long journey with this: wanted to match the pink and green in mats, had this idea years ago when I first saw these prints. No matches, no ability to order custom color matched mats...

This took a lot of time and effort @richardboeser.bsky.social but I'm extremely happy with the end results! Those custom ibb & obb colors took months to find. I IM'd you the lengthy process on that other site but later I might add the cliffnotes here. For now though: thank you once again for these!
