'Putrid' 30 tonne fatberg pulled from Perth's sewers
A 30-tonne congealed mass of items that should not be flushed, including wet wipes, sanitary products, oils and grease was removed by an excavator over two days.

Mechanics do preventative maintenance on the large drive for Final Clarifier 19 to help avoid system failure. We estimate that these drives date back to the 1950s or 1960s and show significant wear in the broken ball bearings and damage to the gear.
