There is no way to force a Kikimora from your home. There is a small chance that she may leave of her own accord. The best thing you can do is prevent her from entering in the first place. This is done by burying a silver object right outside of your front door.

It is said that seeing a Kikimora in general can cause one to go mad. This may be why they turn invisible when people are around. Catching sight of a Kikimora spinning wool on the wheel is an omen that you will die soon.

The Kikimora is another house spirit who will bless those who take good care of their home and punish those who don’t. Although, she also enjoys tormenting the residents, particularly children with acts of mischief and trickery.

A Kikimora will sometimes leave the wilderness and move into a person’s home. Once she moves into a home, she will oversee the spinning wheel, take up the kitchen duties, and mind the henhouse.

In 1934, Russian artist Ivan Bilibin depicted the Kikimora wearing women’s clothing, having chicken feet, hairy skin, a beak-like snout, long ears, horns, claws, and beady eyes. This image has since replaced the original in pop culture.

The Kikimora was originally depicted as frail, homely old woman with long, flowing hair, and only stood a few inches tall.

Opus also took itself too seriously to be absurdist humor.

I think the ending really fell flat and forced.

It also failed to leave the lingering sense of unease that it was trying to create with it's little twist.

The film seemed to want to hit on the nature of creativity, ego, the toxicity of fame, the pressures of needing to create or perish in the public eye, and of the issues of modern society.

But it was taking on too much & as a result said little.

From her recommendation of Opus I thought there would be musical numbers. Sadly we only got John Malkovich lip syncing and badly dancing once.

I also wish the movie pushed the horror & gore more.

A lot of the movie just felt half hearted.

The Japanese cover of Holding Out for a Hero in this movie whips.

And the cinematography with it is great.

The Thomas the Tank Engine stuff is really tickling me.

Also, I am so waiting for the mascot to get their vengeance.

After granting the smith his wishes, she politely extended her hand in farewell. The smith seared off her hand in return. The vegetation is said to be stained red from this exchange.
